U.S. Supreme Court allows Trump administration to resume profiling Latinos in L.A.
“This ruling puts millions of citizens and immigrants under suspicion simply for existing,” said Assembly Member Mark Gonzalez, D-Los Angeles. “That’s not law and order — that’s discrimination wearing the mask of justice.”

“They harvest the food that we eat, but they cannot even afford to put food on their own table,” he said. “How do we care for those who have spent an entire lifetime in the fields and have no retirement?”

"BART has experienced two major systemwide outages this year, which snarled morning commutes and contributed to worse-than-usual traffic on Bay Area roads. Supporters of public transit warn this could be a regular occurrence if both the loan and the regional sales tax measure fail to materialize."
