Under Charter Section 3.100 (18), the supes can reject a mayoral appointee to any commission with a two-thirds vote
"Unless otherwise specifically provided, [the mayor may] make appointments to boards and commissions which shall be effective immediately and remain so, unless rejected by a two-thirds vote of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days following transmittal of Notice of Appointment."


So at this point, there is no left/progressive candidate in the race.

Her comments, however, drew criticism from the Public Defenderâs Office. "Our legal system is based on the presumption of innocence,â the office said in a statement. âThis fear mongering is another attempt by the District Attorney to attack the independence of the judiciary, further pack our already crowded jails, and put her thumb on the scale of these pending cases.
